Just a reminder:
The new helmet ruling mandated by USA Hockey went into effect yesterday, September 1, 2006. Helmets must be
worn during all on ice activities - this includes but is not limited to practices, clinics, seminars, etc.
As previously indicated, a 30-day suspension will be given for the first offense for not adhering to this rule
and for a 2nd offense the suspension will be for the reminder of the season. These suspensions were discussed
and agreed upon at the last 2 Pacific District meetings held in May and again in June. ALL states in the Pacific
District are following this ruling.
I trust that we will not have any problems with the enforcement of this ruling anywhere within the state of Oregon.
