REGISTRATION FOR THE 2008-2009 HOCKEY SEASON IS NOW OPEN

PJH is excited to begin another great season! This year our procedure has changed.

This season you will need to register online with USA Hockey. This will cost you: $30 for USA Hockey and $18 for OSHA (Oregon State Hockey Association dues). Please read the instructions from USA Hockey.

USA Hockey Registration Instructions

Please go to: http://www.usahockeyregistration.com/ and follow the instructions to register your child for the 2008/2009 season. You will receive a confirmation sheet at the end of the registration process. Please email a copy of this confirmation to our PJH Registrar, Nicole Drews at nmdrews@gmail.com. You will also want to attach a copy of it to your registration form.

Below is the official registration form for this season. This will need to be filled out and accompanied by your USA Hockey Confirmation Sheet.

This season we will be offering 3 skates per week for 6 months for the cost of $775 ($475 for Mini Hawks) (before July 31st) and $850 when paid August 1st or later.

Also new this year! Pay registration online with PayPal. Simply click the PayPal button below and follow the directions to make your payment! Please make sure to attach a copy of your receipt with your registration form.

Although summer has just started, preparations for the upcoming hockey season are in full swing. PJH House League evaluations for Mite - Bantam will be held September 7, 2008 @ Mt. View and September 14, 2008 @ Sherwood (actual time TBA soon).

PJH REP TRYOUTS

Tryouts for the Midget B team will held this Saturday, June 21st at Valley Ice Arena - there will be two ice times as listed below. Tryout times for Squirt A, Peewee A, Peewee B, and Bantam B are being finalized and will be announced as soon as available.

The procedures for tryouts this year will be as follows:

It will cost you $60 to tryout. This is a one-time fee. If you tryout for more than one PJH team you will not have to pay an additional fee.

If you played for PJH last year you will not need to sign any waivers upon arrival.

If you are new to PJH you will need to bring your USA hockey card or confirmation sheet for the 2007-2008 year. We will also require you to sign a waiver before you hit the ice. You will not be allowed on the ice without them!

Payment of Registration for the 2008-2009 season will be due no later than July 1, 2008. It will need to be paid in full before the first team practice. Please see registration information above.

Coaching Applications - All PJH Coaches

It is important for you to be aware that the applications for B coaching positions has been moved up to July 1st!! That is 2 months earlier than has been advertised. If you think you may want to coach a B team, get your application in!!!! And please remember: IF THERE ARE NO COACHES FOR A TEAM IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE TEAM TO EXIST!!!

House coaches, though the deadline remains August 31st, there is no reason to wait.... get your applications in early and make my life easier! So apply, apply, apply!

The Portland Jr Hawks USA Cross Ice 3 v 3 Program kicks off this weekend. Player Registrations continue to roll in…Yes, we have lots of Goalies registered for our shooters. At this late date everyone should just bring the registration form found on our website and a check to the 1st Session.
