2011-2012 House League Overview
Fall Development Program (FDP)
This program is designed for players with a preferred 1+ years of on-ice hockey experience. Compete weekly with your peers in a high tempo environment meant to push the boundaries of your hockey skills. Registrations will be limited to 34 players in each division (30 skaters and 4 goalies).
COST:
$199 for 4 weeks (mites, squirts, peewee, bantam, midget)
$149 for 4 weeks (ages six and under)
Program begins September 5, 2011 through October 1, 2011. Each week to include 2.5 total hours of ice time; ages six and under will get 2 total hours of ice time. One hour (1) will be an age appropriate clinic which will be run by professional skills instructor, Ben Stadey. There will be 1.5 hours of practice / games. Clinics will be held during a weeknight with the exception of the Midget division. Midget division clinics will be held on the weekend and should not interfere with the fall sports schedule. Practice/Games will be held on the weekend and be approximately 45 minutes each. Teams will also be rotated from week to week to create competitive balance.

Winter House League
Winter House League is a recreational ice hockey program for players who are under the age of 18 as of December 31, 2011. All skill levels are welcome! Teams compete against each other in a fun, developmental, yet competitive environment.
NEW THIS YEAR: MIDGET HOUSE LEAGUE! Ages 15-18
Age Divisions: Birth years
- Mini Hawks: 2005 and under
- Mite: 2003 and 2004
- Squirt: 2001 and 2002
- PeeWee: 1999 and 2000
- Bantam: 1997 and 1998
- Midget: 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996
Evaluations for the Winter House League will be held October 2 and October 9 at the Winterhawks Skating Center. See website for times. Please attend both days. Skating evaluations will be for mite, squirt, peewee, bantam, and midget divisions. Mini-hawks have NO evaluations and will report to their first scheduled ice time as assigned.
COST:
$799 for 15 weeks (mites, squirts, peewee, bantam, midget)
$599 for 15 weeks (ages six and under)
Program begins October 15 and extends 15 weeks through February 12, 2012. Each week will include an average of three (3) hours of ice time. One (1) hour will be an age appropriate clinic during a weeknight and then two (2) hours of practice and game time on the weekends. Mini-hawks will skate a total of (2) hours on the weekends only.
Professional skills instructor Ben Stadey returns to run the weekly skills clinic. Pro goalie guru Derek Gustafson will return to run weekly Saturday goalie clinics
Additional games with other organizations (Eugene, Medford, and Klamath Falls) will be included as the schedule permits.
Tournaments - All PJH Mini-hawks, mites, and squirts will compete in the PJH Harvest Cup on November 25, 26, & 27, 2011. All peewees and bantams will compete in the PJH Frozen Rose the first part of March 2012. Squirts, peewees, and bantams are allowed to play in (1) additional out of town tournament. NO TRAVEL for Mites this year.
NEW extended playoffs this year during Week 14 & Week 15, teams will play the best 2 of 3 games series.
House Select Teams will be continued in the squirt, peewee, and bantam divisions. House Selects is a competitive travel team formed from the top house players from each division. During house evaluations, you will be asked whether you’d like your player consider for the select team. Teams will then be selected by a board appointed committee by November 15, 2011. Tentative schedule is: November (1 practice), December (2 practices, 2-3 games optional, Boise Break the Ice B tournament), January (1 practice), February (1 practice, 2-3 games optional), March (# of practices/games to vary per team, 1 post season tournament). Select practices/games will not interfere with the regular House league schedule.
