Portland Jr Hawk Coaches Announcements and Important Dates for the upcoming Season.

Like every year we are looking for experienced coaches as well as new coaches that want to coach ice hockey in the Mini Hawks program up thru Bantam Age Players. Please email me at coaching@portlandjrhawks.org if you are interested in being a Head or Assistant Coach. Please state your experience, desired level to coach and whether you prefer to be Head or Assistant. I will NOT know how many Head or Assistant Coaches are needed for the season/divisions until Registrations are completed and team sizing becomes more clear around Sept 8. Discussions and all interviews will be conducted prior to the PJH Mandatory General Coaching Session on September 10. I will gather Applicants names over the next few weeks so please provide an email and phone number that will be good for communicating additional dates and times.

Several requirements are necessary to be an on ice Coach with PJH: OSHA Background Checks, USA Hockey Certification (Levels vary per divisions) and Coaching Registration off the USA Hockey Website, Helmet and PJH Warmup Suit.

Below are VERY important timeline dates for anyone planning to be a Head or Assistant Coach this season.

USA Hockey Level 1,2,3 Coaching Classes will be announced shortly. Currently one scheduled in Eugene but Portland area will host one as well. Stay tuned.

PLEASE forward this information to any and all coaches interested and stay tuned to the PJH Website for Coaches Corner Updates.

Thanks for volunteering to support our Jr Hawk Minor Hockey players!

Cheers,
Greg Cheetham
